The client hired us to provide an office design concept and new office furniture in Philadelphia. They wanted to maximize their office space floor plan with an agile blend of different work zones for different work types, to include spaces for collaborative teamwork, private focused work, meeting hubs, and an informal office lounge area.
Two teams with vastly different operating structures would be working in groups right next to each other. Our office space planning & design team used the dynamic O2™ Corporate Office Furniture System to create two distinct cubicle configurations that uniquely articulate their separate needs and workflows.
A team of 15 employees required a semi-collaborative office environment. We designed open concept cubicles in a curved, flowing V-shape of 120-degree workstations that encourage engagement and work collaboration. Mid-height 53”H office division panels keep the area from being too open and distracting. With minimal storage needs, a mobile file box per station does the trick.
A team of 34 employees required individual privacy for focused work, and ample office storage space. 5’x6’ L shaped cubicle workstations fit into the available square footage nicely. 67” tall cubicle walls along the spines enhance privacy between users and host overhead storage bins and tackboard panels. 53”H cubicle panels enclose the rest of each desk area for moderate privacy.
For the informal small conference room, we specified a modular conference table that can convert effortlessly between multiple configurations to suit multiple needs and group sizes.
The client wanted “simple & sophisticated” office colors. With ample natural and artificial light available, we felt confident playing with elements of a black office interior, offset by warm woodgrain laminate desks. Black café tables and chairs in the breakroom echo the sharp sentiment.
